Water leaking inside the trunk appeared for the first time on January 3rd after a heavy rain. I called the dealership to arrange a visit to fix it. They replied that this leak was probably accumulated condensation due to the high humidity of the day. Therefore I should check again the next time it rains or the next time I wash the car.
Since January 3rd there was no rainfall. Today I decided to wash the car and remembered that I should check the tailgate for water entrance. To my disappointment, water is leaking again…
Has anybody else this issue?

I have traces of water spills on the headliner above the rear seats. A lot of golf have this problem but the ceilling has never been damp when I touch it. BTW: I have climatronic in auto and A/C always on, even in winter.
I still have not been to the dealer. So I have not an official answer. I will tell you as soon as I know. By the way, I use the climatronic exactly as you do
Firstly check foamy liner under taillights.If it's OK-check drainage point in the middle of boot door
Also it is a good idea to turn ON your A/C(it turns on even if you warming cabin) in such weather conditions atleast for 15-20 minutes this will ensure high humidity appearance inside your car.

hello! I had water in 5th door after rain too. when I visit dealership and they say about accumulated condensation. They advised use climatronic in "Auto". Notice the ceiling near at the fifth door. I had traces of water on the ceiling.

All dealerships reply the same hahaha…I have 4 comments though:
1) I NEVER experienced water condensation in my 2001 Corolla G6 (I had Corolla for 12 years…),
2) I ALWAYS use Climatronic in AUTO mode
3) The first time it happened (January 3rd) it was raining really a lot. This Sunday it was DRY and in addition it was NOT RAINING (that is why I decided to wash the car)
4) This is the SECOND water leak inside the car. The first was here www.drive2.ru/l/5147966/ and was fixed with TPI 2035134/1
I really get annoyed by these issues when I pay lots of money for DAS AUTO. Anyway, the dealership promised to call me as soon as they schedule an appointment…
By the way, how did they fix your ceiling leak?
They recorded my request. they haven't done anything yet. I dismantled the door trim 5 himself, traces of a leak is not found. I think water gets through the lights.
