Having found out that I had to upgrade my Composition Media to software 0421 I arranged a visit to the dealer.
It was easy for them to find the TPI but there was an issue they told me: typically the TPI covers free of charge factory mistakes and not retrofits. Typically I had to pay…but…I tried to talk them nicely and was succesful…They agreed to offer the infotainment update totally free of charge as if the footwells came from the factory. But…(there's always a "but") they didn't have the SD card required for the update…
The committed to order it from Germany and so we arranged another appointment.
The new appointment lasted approximately 1:30 hour:
The 60% issue was corrected! I was already happy with this and then I found out that the software upgrade solved another 2 issues I faced with the 0170 version:
1) my LG G2 android phone now could send the contact pictures correctly to the infotainment and
2) The greek letter "Ά" could be correctly displayed in the title of an MP3 song
Finally everything now works as it should and of course…without extra money
