Timing belt
Considering the age of my car (9.5 years old) and mileage (114.240 km) changing the factory installed timing belt was decided as the psycological limit of 120.000 km for countries with high levels of dust was approaching.
I trusted this job to the dealership as I wanted to have the original parts and the dealership certification on such replacement which is considered critical for the engine. Furthermore, payment can be done by credit card in monthly installements (up to 12 months) which is a huge relief if you think about the enormous price increases lately in European Union (by the way some supermarkets have placed anti-theft devices on powder milk for babies…)
The replacement kit 04L198119K was installed in addition to various small bits and pieces (bolts, screws etc). I was given a discount of 30% on parts and 21% on labour. The final cost was 399.24€ + 24% VAT = 495.06€. (248.20€ for parts and 246.86€ for labour). Details can be seen in the following photo. You can also make a comparison with the costs in your country:
Coolant pump
Changing the coolant pump is a preventive measure and is recommended when changing the timing belt. My coolant pump served me for 9.5 years and 114.240 km which is in the recommended replacement range of 100-160.000 km. It is better to be safe than sorry, and the timing belt change was a nice coincidence. Therefore I decided not to wait for pump failure. The coolant pump failure would be a safety risk and would require another visit for replacement and extra time without the car.
Searching in ETKA reveals that the coolant pump seems to have undergone various revisions through the years:
04L121011EX → 04L121011LX → 04L121011L → 04L121011P → 04L121011N
The latest revision (04L121011N) was installed at a 15% discount for both on parts and labour. The final cost was 191.61€ + 24% VAT = 237.59€ (183.51€ for parts, 24.57€ for antifreeze and 29.51€ for labour):

Recently I looked at the prices for timing belt and pump (want to change on 210k mileage)…
Contitech belt kit (with pulleys) CT1168K1 — about 125 euro / original belt kit — 458 euro
Original pump — 330 euro
p.s. about anti-thief devices — even coffee is hidden in some our stores (5 euro coffee on the photo) :)
Putting anti-theft devices on everyday products (like coffee) or necessary products like powder milk for babies is a disgrace of global politics…When I was a young child we were thinking that in the far future (like 2022) we would drink coffee in spaceships going around the Earth. Instead of the civilisation to move forward, we encounter anti-theft devices and politicians are asking to keep the temperature in our homes at 17 °C.
Do these prices (458€ & 330€) include labour costs too in Belarusian dealerships? Do dealerships offer discounts as they did in my case/country?
These are prices only for the parts themselves, without any work. Dealers offer discounts usually when the warranty ends (in my case it ended), but if you have new car on warranty — prices will be heading into space…
In Belarus major part of drivers prefer to make works like that in private service stations or in garages on their own. Official dealers are quite expensive.
