It was a week before summer vacation that I decided to install my THULE roof bars. After 2 days I noticed that the rear rubber stripe of the Wingbar is missing.
As it is impossible to have flown by itself the rubber stripe, the obvious answer is that someone at a mall I visited just removed it
As the THULE roofbox sits on the rubber and as the lack of the rubber may cause more noise, I decided to call immediately the THULE representative in Athens. He is very polite and sent immediately the replacement part with product code 1500052102
Cost of rubber 19€. Cost of next day delivery 13€.
For a stupid guy I had to pay 32€

Hm, what for someone did it? I can imagine that the thule holder could be stolen or the whole car but this?
If you happen to have the same bars, you would see that the rubber strip is not easy to remove.
First you need to twist a plastic lever that holds the rubber in place. Then you have to pull the rubber.
Also, the world is full of idiots…One day, on my previous car, somebody smashed my driver window and stole 8 music CDs that were not original (I had the originals at home and had copies in the car).
