During winter I managed to save a decent amount of money and felt the need to upgrade my car.
After lots of reading finally decided to start ordering the necessary parts:
Headlights from Golf R without DLA:
I have decided to order from Italy a pair of new 5G1 941 754 D / 5G1 941 753 D headlights
All ballasts and bulbs are included In the price

BCM High for Pr-number 5D1 (433.92MHz)
My offer to an eBay store in Germany was accepted and so I am waiting for a used 5Q0 937 084 AJ (0134 — H18) BCM. It was previously mounted on an Audi TT 8S Coupe made in 2014 with 33905km

AFS module, leveling sensor, adapters and harnesses
My car has standard rear axle (Pr-number 0N1) thus I chose the 5Q0 512 521 E leveling sensor coupled with the 7P6 907 357 D AFS module (0090 — H07). These 2 parts along with the necessary wiring was found in China (Aliexpress always helps) and is on its way with DHL

FLA mirror
The 5G0 857 511 D SMA mirror was found used in Poland (my first buy in Alegro)

Up to now no part has arrived. I believe that installation will be carried out in late April.
Until then I am trying to keep my joy in manageable limits

Hey, I'll be waiting for yours installation! I've accidentally bought the bi-xenon lights and now thinking what for did I make it and what should I do next))) as I count the AliExpress is more expensive than the offer from Polish so I'll try to find the details there and make the wires myself. Please don't wait too long and write down immediately what you'll get. I'm really interested in this information. Good luck)
Of course I will write down any updates. We will be in touch. Good luck to you too!
Thanks. Are you going to use wires from your loght to the new or will make them new? I tried to compare pictures ans looks like it's not so hard.
I will use the 10 to 14 adapters that are included in the package I ordered from China. The package from China is quite complete.
I'm not incompetent but also I feel slightly afraid of this retrofit (maybe because it's very expensive). Furthermore, the technician who is willing to help me confessed that he had never done this before (good technicians that have real knowledge and skills are hard to find here).
For these reasons I am trying to minimize the possibility of an installation error. This will increase the cost slightly.
Yes, I've ordered 10 and 14 pins adapters. Who knows how it will going. You don't want to said the price for the each position?
Prices including shipping are the following:
Headlights with all bulbs and ballasts (new): 1504€
BCM (used): 48€
AFS module, leveling sensor, adapters and wiring (new): 228€
FLA mirror (used): 117€
Oh, it's too expensive. I've bought lights in all set with lamps and so on with AFS for 500$. They're used and I don't even know if they work or not)))
I know :-(
Sometimes I think I made a mistake. At least, if everything goes well, I will fight this feeling with the joy of having better and safer lighting conditions.
But if not?) didn't you think that it'd be cheaper to sell your car and buy the same age but with all options you want? I think about that from time to time but it's not good idea in our country.
This is extremely difficult in our country also. Due to the financial crisis, people do not often buy cars. When they do they buy the basic version and they do not care about folding mirrors, parking sensors, Xenon lights and leather upholstery. So it's not easy to sell my car and buy an old with more electronics installed
Oh, I see. It's even more difficult to you. So I wish you a good luck and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you kayle. It seems that the BCM is the first that will arrive on Friday or Monday. I will schedule an appointment with the VW dealer to replace my old BCM. I will report all the details then
