The Formentor interior is quite nice, but the Facelift version has a major improvement: the center console is covered in stichted leather instead of being just plastic. So I did some browsing and found the part numbers:
5FB863488A WXY and 5FB863487A WXY
Not cheap, but also not terribly expensive for a part you'll be touching and seeing every time you drive the car.
So here's the howto-instruction. All in all it took about 45 minutes to do it with bad lighting and being careful not to damage the leather or dashboard.

There are 3 screws on each side, which you can now access. Remove them all 3.
Lift the trim from all the clips, and slide it off. Be careful.

Now you have all the space you need, you can reinstall the leather panels. Make sure they fit exactly like the old parts. I did a couple of test runs on how to slide the part in, using the old part. Leather is easily scratched, so you don´t want to go wrong here. We put a thin cloth between the dash and the leather when reinstalling the panel on the passenger side, because there it didn't install as easily as on the driver side.
Reinstall the parts, like the old parts were. And don't forget to re-attach all the shifter console wiring as well.
