A few updates since the last time I posted:
Additional button data
Each button can have a list attached to it, which determines what profiles can be cycled through. In the quest to unravel the button logic, I'm adding more details about the buttons.

Filtering out the NO FPA datasets
The list of factory datasets is growing… so I removed all no-fpa datasets, because they are of no real use. If you were really attached to it, let me know.
Display number of profiles and controls for easier editing.
Sometimes it's easier to have the profile numbers visible.

There's still about 200 bytes related to buttons that I need to figure out.

To give you a little behind-the-scenes peek of the research, here's a view on 48 bytes, compared between all factory datasets I currently have:

In this area there's probably data that will allow us to:
— fully support retrofitting the round profile knob from Tiguan
— find the mapping that determines the logic behind the LED on the Tiguan button
— find any additional user interface stuff. There should be some kind of settings popup on some models?
— control FPA without the additional buttons, but by steering wheel. I got this working already, but I don't fully understand the logic behind it yet.
— probably some more stuff.
Meanwhile, I've been creating some custom datasets, which are available here:
www.buymeacoffee.com/jille/extras
They aren't free, but they can add a lot of value to your car, and buying them supports the development of the website and research :-)

looks like the codes for the buttons on the steering wheel
R/Cupra -112
R/Cupra long -113
Audi Star -33
Could be, thanks! There are other values related to the steering wheel earlier in the dataset. I have to pin down the exact behavior for each of the values.
Forgive my ignorance please. What does this tool do? I don't have an mqb so it's not easy to guess what this useful tool does
Driving profiles datasets can be modified. Which means you can finetune things, .add features that can be controlled by driving profiles, make the car remember the mode after restarting, and such.
Very nice! Pity pq25 is almost obsolete
