As you might know, if you read my blog on a regular basis, I like to play around with reverse engineering stuff, and the most interesting project for me is "Driving profiles datasets".

Currently, I got inspired to investigate Porsche datasets, because they are pretty similar to VW/Skoda/Seat MQB driving profile datasets.
There's so much stuff inside, and I made a lot of discoveries already. Which settings are enabled, shown, hidden and which modes are there? It all works in a similar way to the MQB Datasets I researched.
But…I have no way to test them, because I don't know how to flash them back to the car.
— ODIS doesn't work on Porsche
— VCP doesn't allow me to flash the Porsche 992 gateway
PIWIS 3 is the way to go, and I got myself some clone cables and downloaded a VM Ware image from a torrent site. All looks primising, but there are no instructions on how to get it all to work… who can help me out with this?
If I can get this working, I will soon release a template that can parse the datasets, and if there's any demand for it, I will also update mqbtools.nl to have a Porsche driving profiles (Charisma) dataset tool.

Maybe try with Audi. Dataset is alike.
Vctool can work with it.
But can it flash datasets to the 992?

Ok, this turned out to be a very good suggestion!
First connection tests via DoIP with a 992 are succesful. I'll test flashing of a custom FPA dataset tomorrow. Let's see if I can turn a regular 992 in a 992 Dakar :-)
