We all know that our trunk is designed so that the tray can be put in 2 positions, upper and lower.
Although it is a nice possibility it is a pity VW has designed and offers a trunk liner only for the upper position.
When I bought the car there was no option of trunk liner for the bottom position from third party designers. So I bought the original liner for the upper position letting time pass and designers to provide solutions.

As the family grew, there was the need to place the stroller in the trunk. Thus little space was left in the trunk and I had to find a solution. I remembered that the tray can be be put to the lower position. So I had to find a liner to protect the tray and at the same time take advantage of every little space of the trunk the storage.
After long searching in forums I found 3 options:
Muddy Buddy (WeatherTech) rubber trunk liner with blocks: www.ebay.com/itm/2015-VW-…%3D10%26sd%3D191515048193
Muddy Buddy (WeatherTech) rubber trunk liner without blocks: www.ebay.com/itm/2015-VW-…%3D10%26sd%3D191515048193
CarPro WeatherTech trunk liner with blocks and rubber bottom: www.ebay.com/itm/2015-VW-…%3D10%26sd%3D191515048193
I finally selected the famous WeatherTech rubber trunk liner because of good reviews:

Item left me very satisfied. It compliments the car and fits very well.
The real downside is the extreme price. It was OK to give Golf some luxury after so many Aliexpress items ;-)
