Today (November 25th, 2014) I had to cancel my order of protective cover (000 019 819). The order was placed on October 13th, 2014. The reason is that the official VW dealer replied that the delivery date was changed to the fourth week of 2015.
When I placed the order I was assured that my order will not take more than a month to be delivered. On November 1st they told me that it is normal for accessories to be a bit late. Today I called them (instead of them calling me) to find out that the delivery date has changed to late January.
I find it unacceptable from their part to deliver an accessory order 100 days after placing the order. It is unacceptable for a company like VW to deliver things inside EU (no customs involved) 3.5 months after ordering! If they had told me earlier I would order through ebay.
Now the incredible news: I cancelled my order today and on 9:41 I placed an order of the same item here: www.ebay.de/itm/Original-…ageName=ADME:L:OC:IE:3160 What is incredible is that on 10:42 the item was already dispatched and the delivery date is approximately on December 6th ! Yes ebay price (item + shipping) is 7€ more expensive but the quality of service is undeniable…
No more faith in ordering from official VW…
