The GEM (Green Engineering Menu) is inside most VAG Infotainments, and consist of ESD Files: Engineering Screen Definitions. This GEM is used to set and check things that are normally hidden from view, and only meant for engineering/development purposes. However, there's a lot of fun to be had with the GEM, like making your own screens you can use with the MIB2-Toolbox (github.com/jilleb/mib2-toolbox) to view raw data, run scripts, make changes to coding, etc.
So I was thinking… why not make an WYSIWYG editor (What you see is what you get) for these ESD files?
Here's a quick little preview. But… I am not sure if it's actually useful to anyone. So please, let me know your opinion. Thanks!
